Peer Support
With a staff and board of directors comprised of 51% of individuals with significant disabilities, we can identify with the significant needs of our consumers. We offer one-on-one peer support via the channel of our outreach coordinators on a daily as-needed basis.
The CIL also organizes and sponsors peer support groups giving persons with similar disabilities an opportunity to communicate, share their concerns and issues, and learn from each other how to deal with their disabilities.
Currently, we engage in support groups for those with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and various other groups as necessary.
